This pod is beautiful! So carefully thought through, everything you could need is provided, the little coppice is so pretty and the views from the hill are spectacular! I was worried that with our 10 and 7 year olds there might not be much space but actually we were fine. The pod has crockery, pans, utensils, towels, bedding, everything!
We cooked sausages on the outdoor fire pit, had a dip in the hot tub, and when the weather got bad we brought fish and chips back (even found somewhere that did gluten free a few minutes away!).
We took a long walk down to the lighthouse and along the beach, picking up treasures and exploring.
We’ve stayed in national trust pods before but they’re completely empty, without even a bed- this was a whole new level of comfort!
The only thing I could wish for is more family size pods so we could come here as a group of friends.

Tips for other travellers: I’d recommend bringing extra firewood as it’s hard to know where to get any if you’re not local (if it was for sale on site I’d have happily paid a bit extra!). Do some research as to what you’d like to do locally depending on the weather- we’d only come from an hour away so didn’t want to drive 45 minutes to visitor attractions like Bodnant. Instead we opted to stay local and walk but I wish I’d checked out some routes in advance so I could have just enjoyed the views. The pods are closer together than I’d realised, which was no problem at all for us, but I hope our neighbours didn’t find our noisy children a vibe killer! We were very glad they’d brought a speaker and were playing a bit of music which helped give some privacy and I hope masked the bickering! So if you’re not bringing children I’d recommend bringing music 😅 The beaches themselves are beautiful but of course the area surrounding them has the usual seaside town amusement arcades etc- if that’s not your thing, again just do some research and pick your activities. Enjoy your stay- it poured down for most of ours and we still had a wonderful time!
